So having started the nanowrimo challenge our family was beset with health issues that needed my attention and so the whole of November and well in to December we were all completely up the wall. I have now come back to social media for the new year after hitting a milestone of 40! This account is by far then most important to me. As a mom with cerebral palsy my normal every day uniform is jeans sweatshirt and walking boots. However on Friday night my husband had booked a night away with dinner plans. This threw me. It meant dressing nicely and shoes! I trawled all over and couldn’t find a suitable pair of pretty yet functional shoes. I could not get my feet into half the shoes available and had a self pitying cry to my husband. He reminded me he didn’t care what I wore as long as I was safe and comfortable. He took me shopping on my birthday and I managed to get a pair of pretty boots! This post is just to remind us all we build up the ideas in our head of what perfection should look like and unfortunately perfection doesn’t exist but we should always believe in ourselves. (And our pretty awesome partners) I hope to come back to this platform and regularly post and engage with you all! Have any of you had fashion issues or confidence issues that came at you by surprise? #cpmom#cplife#shoeshopping
